CYS 3/4 (U10) Curriculum
CYS Development Targets
Over the course of the 3/4 (U10) seasons, we want our players to develop the ability to:
Techniques
- Pass with some accuracy using the different surfaces of the foot (in particular, the inside-of-the-foot pass)
- Receive balls on the ground with different surfaces of the foot
- Dribble with head up using different surfaces of foot and changes in speed
Tactics
- Demonstrate awareness and technique for 1v1 defending, as well as begin to be aware of 2nd defender roles

- Demonstrate awareness of 1st attacker role as well as begin to be aware of 2nd attacker roles

- Begin to understand “diamond” and “triangle” shapes
Psychology
Manage emotions during both successful and failed moments of play
Stay mentally engaged for extended periods of time
Increase awareness of teammate involvement
