Weekly Referee Assignment Schedule: Step by Step
Once you have been approved as a CYS Referee, you can apply to referee Saturday games. You must complete these tasks for each week that you'd like work. The weekly process begins on Sunday.
You can print out this schedule as a handy reminder of what you need to do each day and by when. Please remember the weekly deadlines! And check your email every day for CYS referee notices.
Sunday: Enter Your Availability
Before you go to bed, tell us when you’re available to work this coming Saturday. Enter "No" for times you're playing a game or have other commitments. Remember, you must be free 30 minutes before the game starts. If you can't work this Saturday, leave the sheet blank. DEADLINE: Sunday 11:59 PM

Tuesday & Wednesday: Confirm Your Assignment
CYS uploads the Referee Schedule on Tuesday afternoon. If you've been assigned a game, confirm it by leaving your initials before you go to bed on Wednesday night.
You also can leave notes to indicate A) you can’t ref that game after all or B) you'd like to work additional games. If you haven’t received an assignment, we'll try our best to give you a game next week.

Weekly Referee Schedule
Friday: Check Your Assignment Again
Double check your assignment on Friday morning to make sure your assignment hasn't changed. If there’s an issue, text Jessamy ASAP.
Prepare your Referee kit:
- Referee shirt
- Whistle
- Stopwatch
Saturday: Game Day
Check in with the Referee Coordinators 30 minutes before your assigned game. Then go to your assigned field to meet the coaches and check player equipment. Don't forget to put away your cell phone!
Work your game(s) and have fun!
Sunday: Game Logs Due
This confirms you reffed your game so that you can earn your stipends! If you encountered any unsportsmanlike behavior or other issues by players, coaches, or fans, tell us here.
