Volunteer to Coach or be a Team Manager
Cambridge Youth Soccer runs on volunteers! Thanks to our wonderful volunteer coaches, our 2,000 young players can experience the joy of playing soccer.
Many of our coaches have no prior coaching or soccer experience. What’s important is having a positive attitude, an interest in helping young people, and yes, a little patience. We can assist with the rest.
We support our coaches with…- Coach training sessions
- A weekly practice curriculum with ready-made exercises.
- Visits to your practices by our professional coaches who offer guidance and tips.
What you’ll get out of volunteering…
You'll spend time with your player and you’ll have the satisfaction of making a difference in young people’s lives by helping them develop skills, make friends, deal with victory and loss, and understand the meaning of teamwork. And on a selfish note, you’ll also make new friends in the community.
Consider being a Team Manager
We also need Team Managers, especially for younger teams, who help to:
- Communicate with families
- Organize players before a game
- Connect with parents when players don’t show up to play
